Frequently asked questions
What does GenAuthority measure?
How often AI assistants name your brand when someone asks a buying question in your category, which brands they name instead, and which pages they cited to answer. It is a measurement tool: it reports what the engines said, and it does not guess at numbers it has not collected.
Which AI engines does it track?
ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews. All five are scanned on every plan, including the cheapest one. Engine coverage is not a tier limit here, which is unusual in this category and worth checking on any tool you compare us against.
How is this different from rank tracking?
Rank tracking asks where you sit in a list of links. An answer has no position three: you are either named in it or you are not. So the unit is presence across a set of tracked questions, plus the sources the engine actually read, which is the part you can act on.
Can my clients see their own dashboard?
Yes. A client can be invited to their own brand only, and that role is read-only, enforced at the API rather than hidden in the interface. Seats are unlimited on every plan, so inviting a client costs nothing.
How many brands can I track?
One on Brand at $79 a month, ten on Studio at $149, and forty on Agency at $449. Prompts are pooled across the workspace rather than fixed per client, so a roster where one brand needs more attention than the others is not a problem.
Do I need a credit card to try it?
No. Brand and Studio include a 14-day trial that does not ask for a card. The trial runs the real product against a capped allowance, so what you see during it is what the tool actually reports, not a demo dataset.
